Hi, my name is Nora and I live in the Netherlands. I’ve been working for a very long time as a graphic designer for various scale of magazines.
My passion for photography
My dad
I started shooting very young, first analogue and later digital. My dad built in the bathroom a dark room and I loved it.
Street photography, as my way of photographing is called, I already did without me knowing:). My lens is often focused on unusual and ordinary everyday situations. That can be in any public space, not street-oriented either.
Life is a spectacle for me and I try to capture it in my own way.
Why?
Because I like that.
It gives me a lot of fun to go on ‘ hunting ‘. Preferably alone, sometimes with a few ‘ fellow sufferers ‘.
My gear changed from Nikon, Canon to Fuji-film. (XPro3 – X100V)
At first I like mirrorless cams because the lack of weight. But what I found out later is the absolute sharpness of the Fuji-lenses and I love the way the camera’s are build. Using these camera’s after lots of years working with Canon was not easy. I did a lot of research and finally I’ve got it.
“Your eye must see a composition or an expression
that life itself offers you, and you must know with intuition
when to click the camera.”
(Henri Cartier Bresson)
